Fall may be here, but the fishing off San Diego is still on fire! The crews aboard the Wanu and Swell Chaser have been staying busy putting our anglers on great fish, and we’re thrilled to announce something brand new — our Lobster Charters are officially here!
A group visiting from Michigan joined Captain Joe aboard the Wanu and got into an incredible Red Vermillion bite. The rods were bent all day, with plenty of color hitting the deck and smiles all around.
When the offshore bite slowed, we turned our focus to bottom fishing — and it paid off big time. Captain Geno aboard the Swell Chaser put guests on a steady pick of rockfish, calico bass, and other tasty bottom dwellers. Even when the sea was a little bumpy, the fish didn’t disappoint!
Some of our favorite trips came from local San Diego groups who hung in there through slow starts to finish strong. A quick change in depth and location brought in limits of rockfish and plenty of fillets for the table. Persistence pays!
