The San Diego Summer Bite is Scorching Already

Before we dive into this report, we would like to take a moment to Honor and Remember all those that sacrificed their lives for our freedom, not just on Memorial Day, but everyday.

We also want to thank all our clients whom fished with us this past month. We created some amazing memories with our repeat clients as well as fresh new faces. Some days have been incredible with plenty of fish to take home for the weekend cookout.

Our San Diego summer fishing season is ramping up on the heels of an amazing spring bite. Each day is a new adventure with some incredible Red Vermillions caught daily as we march into June. The Spring Bite is Underway Here in San Diego!

Spring Break is here and family fishing fun has kicked into another gear here in San Diego.  As you can see below, we are privileged and humbled to fish with some of the best families in the world fishing with us.  As all of our clients will tell you, we are kid-friendly and welcome anglers of all experience and all ages to come enjoy this amazing fishery! 

Captain Jon has been fishing aboard our World Famous boat, the “WANU” to put our clients and anglers on non-stop action.

Captain Brian running the Swell Chaser and first mate Hale on the back deck for this morning’s trip. Slow fishing produced a pair of small halibut, 3 rockfish and a lingcod. All safely released.

Captain Jon running the Wanu and first mate Hale on the back deck. Nice day on the water for a family from Kentucky. The fishing wasn’t wide open but managed a nice bag of fish. They caught 13 rockfish and 4 boccacio.

Steady action on the ground fish with a nice pin back shark to end the trip. They caught 2 ling cod, 1 sheephead,18 rockfish (5 released), 1 copper, 2 whitefish, 1 sand dab (released) and 1 pin back shark (released).
